About The Event

A guided walk around the Sizewell Belts Nature Reserve

Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s Woodbridge Wildlife Group invite you enjoy the rich flora and wildlife at Sizewell Belts nature reserve when they hold a guided walk, led by Reserve Warden Carl Ansell, on Saturday 10 July starting at 10 am.

Phil Smith, Chair of the SWT Woodbridge Wildlife Group said “This reserve is a wonderful mix of grazing marsh intersected by dykes, with reed bed and wet woodland .  It is one of the best wetlands in East Anglia for wildflowers, with the wild flower meadows being maintained by cattle and sheep grazing. Our guided walk with the Warden should allow us to really appreciate this very special area and identify the flora and fauna to be found there. ”

Places on this walk are strictly limited and must be pre-booked by contacting Suffolk Wildlife Trust.  The cost is £5 per person and bookings can be made online through www.suffolkwildlifetrust.org  (events section) or by telephoning them on 01473 890089. Participants should wear waterproof footwear and binoculars will be useful. Dogs are not allowed on this walk. The walk will last approximately 2.5 hours.
