About The Event

There is a chance to hear about the beach nesting birds who choose East Anglia to nest and raise their young when Paul Davis, Suffolk little tern project officer with the RSPB, gives a talk entitled “Beach-nesting birds of East Anglia” at Woodbridge Community Hall, Station Road, IP12 4AU on Thursday 19 January 2023 at 7.30 pm.

The talk has been organised by Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s Woodbridge Wildlife Group and chairman Phil Smith said “We are lucky to live close to some beautiful beaches here in Suffolk, but we may not realise that some of these beaches are also attractive nesting sites for Little Terns (our rarest breeding seabird) as well as Ringed Plover, Oyster Catcher and Avocet. It is going to be very interesting to hear more about the RSPB’ s projects which aim to protect and monitor the nesting sites of these birds at locations including Kessingland in Suffolk and Winterton and Eccles in Norfolk.”

There is no need to book for this talk, entry is £3 for adults, with under 25’s free. Doors open at

7 pm, with the talk starting at 7.30 pm.  Light refreshments will be served and there will be a raffle. “
