Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s local Woodbridge Wildlife Group invite you to join them for a morning nature walk through the Trust’s new Martlesham Wilds Reserve on Saturday 24 August, starting from 10 am.
“Work is now underway to make this wonderful area on the banks of the River Deben a real space for nature to recover” said Phil Smith, Chairman of the SWT local group “Suffolk Wildlife Trust are at the very beginning of transforming “Martlesham Wilds” from organic farm to nature reserve and we hope to show our participants some of the work underway to attract a wider variety of wildlife to this area.”
This walk starts at 10 am from Martlesham Church car park, Church Lane, Martlesham IP12 4PQ and will last until approximately 12.30. Places on this walk are strictly limited and must be pre-booked by contacting Suffolk Wildlife Trust. The cost is £5 per person with under 25’s free, and bookings can be made online through www.suffolkwildlifetrust.org (events section) or by telephoning them on 01473 890089. The walk is suitable for children over 10. No dogs except assistance dogs. Participants are advised to wear sturdy footwear and bring binoculars and a drink .
