'I’m inspired by the infinite beauty of the places I visit. Using observational drawings I make paintings back in my studio. These are not purely visual representations but an attempt to capture memories and a sense of being within the landscape. I often allow the paint to take over the image. The interaction of a human presence, is sometimes suggested, rather than seen.'
