MAVERICK FESTIVAL

3RD 4TH & 5TH SEPTEMBER 2021

PRESS RELEASE MARCH 12th 2021

THE ROAD-MAP LEADS TO SUFFOLK THIS SEPTEMBER

We are back in the saddle so hang on to your hats!

Getting it right since 2008

Now in our 14th year, we are proud to introduce another eclectic lineup of exciting new artists plus a sprinkling of festival favourites.

Often un-heard, always un-herd.

By popular demand everyones’ favourite sour-puss, RICH HALL will be back to shine a light into the gloomy recesses of the American psyche with inimitable musical accompaniment and our homegrown hang-dog HANK WANGFORD will celebrate his forty plus years as the godfather of UK alt. country.

Keeping to our canine theme, BLACKEYED DOGS led by Brit award-winning multi-instrumentalist and producer ETHAN JOHNS will raise the rafters and then reconvene to present an extended show of GRATEFUL DEAD songs as DOGS PLAY DEAD.

Oh and unlike a lot of festivals, we welcome considerate dogs and their owners. A good weekend to howl at the moon then.

On the other side of the gender divide, three artists with their own take on Americana: Californian outlaw country queen SARA PETITE and her band, New Orleans songstress SHAWN WILLIAMS plus sultry New York-based southerner MARY ELAINE JENKINS.

Less than two hours from London, yet a world away.

Deep in the Suffolk countryside, our stages are nestled amongst the restored Victorian barns and rolling pastures of Easton Farm Park. Boasting an enviable pedigree, the Maverick Festival is the UK's first Americana festival and the proud founder of the Americana Music Association UK.

MAVERICK IS THE FESTIVAL IN THE UK FOR THE LOVER OF AMERICANA. A REALLY, REALLY, GREAT FESTIVAL, BRILLIANT SET UP, BRILLIANT VENUES, TERRIFIC LINE-UP, AND SAFE FOR THE KIDS, GREAT BEER AND FOOD. THE DETAILS ARE SPOT ON, AND THE ATMOSPHERE IS HOW I WISH MY EVERY DAY WAS” - AMERICANA UK

Maverick – a different country.
