Sunday 19th February 10.30am Java Lodge Lane, south of Pettistree village (and north of the high voltage pylon lines)
New spinney, more trees!
We have been busy this year working on the spinney (small wood) and tree line along the Green Lane off Chapel Lane and a second spinney on Java Lodge Road, Pettistree.
It has been good fun planning and making a start working with Pettistree Parish Council, parishioners and the landowner Hayward Farms.
A thank you to our Councillor Carol Poulter too for locality budget funding (from ESC) which has facilitated the projects and supply of some materials.
Many native trees are home grown, supplied locally and also through the Suffolk Tree Warden scheme.
Tools will be available but a spade and secateurs are always handy if you can bring them, wear good boots and gloves.
Light refreshment and hot drink is advisable.
Parking is limited in this location so please walk or cycle if possible. Some space is available along the field edge.
Next date for the village cemetery where we will be planting snowdrops in the green is Thursday 23rd February 10.00am.
Please let me know if you plan to come along to an event or wish to know more.
