Saturday 30th April 2022 will be the start of our bowling season and after the last two years we are hoping to play our normal friendly matches as well as club cup games. If you are looking for a nice leisure activity then playing bowls is a good way of meeting new people both in the village and also the local area where we play friendly matches around 15 local clubs. Bowls also keeping fit and having fun at the same time. Beginners are most welcome. If you are interested in trying out playing bowls please come along and join us, it’s an enjoyable game for all ages.
The Red Triangle Bowls season starts on Saturday 30th April we will have our first roll up drive after Registration which is 1.30 pm. New and old members are most welcome. This year we are trying to build up the club after the restrictions of the last two years and make it an active part of the Wickham Market community so please come along and support us.
If you have not played before and are unsure about joining a bowls club then come along to our “Come and Try It” sessions or to our practice sessions which are Wednesday afternoons usually from 2:00pm for 2.30pm start and Friday evenings from 6-30pm till dusk. First sessions are without any obligation and games of bowls will be free, all we ask is that while on the green you wear smooth or flat shoes, plimsolls or slippers, bowls and other equipment can be provided to start with. If you can't make our open sessions then give us a ring and we will try and arrange another time suitable for you.
The Red Triangle Bowls Club (RTBC) is over one Hundred & Thirty years old and is one of two bowls clubs in Wickham Market. We play on a small green behind the Old Vicarage at the end of Crown Lane. We play only friendly matches with local clubs in a warm friendly atmosphere and have a full program so there is always something for every one. Most weeks we play two or three arranged matches and there are many additional opportunities to play in other club cup games and drives and Tournaments.
