Wickham Market Veg Box Initiative – This Saturday

Dear customers of Wickham Market,

Many thanks for expressing an interest in one of our seasonal veg boxes. We have been quite overwhelmed by the response. I am pleased to inform you that we will be in Wickham Market from 9.30am until 12.00noon this Saturday and will be positioned near the market square carpark. In the interest of safety we politely ask all our customers to adhere to a strict 2 meter distance policy when at the stall, which will be clear to follow and indicated using cones and markers. I’m afraid we can only accept cash because we don’t have a card machine. Each seasonal veg box will be made up of the same items and each week we will try and vary the produce we include. In the interest of hygiene and everyone’s safety, customers will not be allowed to touch and feel the produce before purchasing a box. These measures are not intended to upset or offend people, they are intended to keep us all safe and we thank you in advance for your cooperation. I’m afraid we’re unable to offer a delivery service this Saturday but are hopeful that the we will be able to liaise with volunteers in Wickham Market in future weeks. If you do know a neighbour or friend that wants a veg box but is unable to get out to collect one, then perhaps you could assist them by collecting one on their behalf this week. We have always recommended customers thoroughly wash all fresh produce before using it but due to the unprecedented situation we are faced with, this advice is especially important. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday. Penny Newbourne Farm

Please note, in order to keep things simpler and meet the overwhelming response, Newbourne Farm will be doing £10 boxes only at the moment.
