Here at Wickham Market Flower Club none of this should worry you. We are renowned for being a friendly club. In fact if you leave a meeting having not laughed once or made a new friend we would be very surprised. We meet on the 4th Thursday of each month (except August and December) at Wickham Market Village Hall. Our meetings start at 7pm but doors open at 6.30pm to enable you to come in, look at our stalls and maybe purchase a raffle ticket and look at the notice board. Our meetings attract a wide variety of people. Young and Mature, Men and Women. We have members from several local towns and surrounding villages and we would love to see more young adults.
No participation whatsoever, unless you want to. Just watch our demonstrators perform magic on the stage. Beautiful arrangements in amazing containers, surprising ideas and interesting tips, should you want to try flower arranging yourself.
We have two "Open Meetings" a year, where we have a National Demonstrator and invitations are sent to all the other clubs in our group. This are really special meetings and our November 2019 open meeting was just phenomenal. A stunning demonstrator and the award winning Alison Cooper. NAFAS Designer of the Year 2015. We were inspired.
The first meeting is FREE and afterwards meetings cost just £3 thereafter unless you become a member. Our membership costs just £27 a year.
Our February meeting is one we call our "Hands on" meeting when we all take part, with guidance, to make an arrangement ourselves. For details of items that will be needed to take part, please contact June (details below) nearer the time.
The March meeting is on Thursday 26th March, when the demonstrator will be Lynda Stamp and her talk is called “Chasing Rainbows”
