A MEN’S SHED IN WICKHAM MARKET - CAN YOU HELP WITH PREMISES?

Following a successful Open meeting about Men’s Sheds, and a follow-up meeting yesterday, our potential ‘Shedders’ want to find out if there are any suitable premises / outbuildings / redundant buildings in Wickham Market or close by that could suit being used as a workshop space for woodworking and metal working.

The workshop could be used to make/mend/repair/upcycle items which can include making things for personal use or for the community.

The types of premises that are used as ‘Sheds’ are very varied so they are willing to look at anything, whether it has a power supply at the moment or not. It needs to be able to accommodate several Shedders working at the same time.

If you think you have something that might just work do get in touch, either in response to this email, to the Partnership email at resource.centre1@btinternet.com or by leaving a message on the answer-phone on 01728 747782 (the office is open on Tuesdays).

If you would like to join our Shedders please get in touch as above.

Men’s Sheds (or Sheds) are similar to garden sheds – a place to pursue practical interests at leisure, to practice skills and enjoy making and mending. The difference is that garden sheds and their activities are often solitary in nature while Men’s Sheds are the opposite. They’re about social connections and friendship building, sharing skills and knowledge, and of course a lot of laughter.
