Retailers in Wickham Market are expressing frustration and disappointment about the planned road closure from 17th December.

Today, 5th December a notice was erected to say that the main road through Wickham Market will be closing for 5 days, from 17th through to the 22nd December.

At present there is no indication of the purpose and who is carrying out the work. Wickham Market Parish Council, the Wickham Market Partnership and the Wickham Market Town Team are all working together to try and resolve this.

Christmas trading is essential for many businesses and the closure of this road will, without any doubt be detrimental for our local businesses.
