Wickham Market Village Hall has needed upgrading for years, and along comes a pandemic that has provided an even greater reason to improve its facilities, for example, providing hot water for handwashing in our kitchens and toilets. Up to now there has been no hot water in any of our toilets!
We are pleased to announce that, thanks to the generosity of East Suffolk Council, the Hall has secured a “Bounce Back” grant that has enabled it to install a modern hot water system. Work has just completed.
This improvement is unrelated to our developing plans to refurbish the Hall, but a useful step in the right direction. It follows on from our having had the Village Hall decorated throughout during the Autumn. It now has a much fresher look.
We are now looking forward to the easing of lockdown measures so that we can welcome groups, societies and organisations to use the Hall once more. For more information please contact our Chairman, Philip Tallent, on 01728 746058.
