Wow, this year is swinging, by right before our eyes! We've just enjoyed the first bank holiday Monday of May, 2 to go!
But next Monday, the 8th May, is a special one for Wickham as we celebrate the Coronation of King Charles, but mostly because we are having our Green Coronation Event, on the Pightle. The Pightle is behind the church, and resource centre, and in front of Church Terrace.
We kick off at 11am with Chris the Clown, doing work shops and clowning around.
We have a story teller - Bards Aloud - doing two sessions of stories and poems, Kirsty Logan with some of her Rabble choir attending to do a workshop with us.
We have a Maypole for dancing around, face painting, bug box making with Ipswich Wildlife group and so much more.
We have Stan coming to sing songs to us between 2pm and 3pm, best enjoyed with a locally brewed beer
We can't wait to see you all, from 11am on the Pightle, Monday 8th May! Free to attend and many activities are free.
