Dear all, I am hoping that some of you will have some time this winter and jump at the chance of an outdoor experience and the opportunity to help keep Wickham Market green through trees. We all know the benefits of trees but many people do not have any chance to plant them or to care for them.
I am planning two work parties.
These will involve tree management and planting.
Please email me if you wish to come along. Children are also welcome.
Saturday 24th October 10.30am Wickham Market Cemetery
And
Friday 30th October 10.30am Sports Field, off Thong Hall Road.
(Access by car onto the car park off the road or you can walk on the paths from Little Lane or Orchard Place).
Please bring a flask, snack, gloves, spade and secateurs.
Also the usual hand sanitiser, mask, hand towel/wipes.
Due to Covid we will need to work safely, maintain numbers and consider how we work apart or in small family groups.
I am hoping we will start a new ambitious planting project in November so do let me know if you are interested in helping.
